I get
a network error when trying to sign on to my account.
You
must have an active connection to The Internet to be able to access your
account. If your computer is set up to dial on demand, the Perfect Teller
program will cause the computer to automatically connect to The Internet.
If not, you will need to manually establish the connection before you
try to sign on to your account. If your computer accesses the network
through a LAN (Local Area Network) and you are not able to connect, please
read the next FAQ.
I am connected
to The Internet and can access it with my browser, but still get a network
error when I try to sign on to my account.
If
your PC is on a network, you may be accessing The Internet via a proxy
server. Some proxy servers require you to configure your PC to get past
the firewall and out on to The Internet. SocksCap32 can be downloaded
from http://www.socks.nec.com/sockscap.html and will provide this function for Perfect Teller. You may be
able to find the correct proxy settings to use (with SockCap32) by looking
in the proxy settings area of your browser.Contact
your network administrator if you need help installing or configuring
this program on your PC.
I am able to access
my account, but my Draft account shows a minus sign just to the left of
the balance. Is there something wrong with the program?
No,
the program is working correctly. The Perfect Teller program uses a highly
sophisticated routine which continually evaluates your deposits as compared
to your withdrawals. It is beyond the scope of this FAQ to explain exactly
how the routine works, but to sum it up, the minus sign indicates that
you have less
than no money.
