. Who Can Join? United Credit Union has an array of ways in which someone is eligible for membership. For instance, if an individual is affiliated with one of several employers or churches on our eligibility listing, they are eligible for membership at United Credit Union. In addition, family members of existing members are eligible for UCU membership. Please call any Member Service Representative to find out more about UCU's eligibility requirements. How to Open an Account: To become a member of United Credit Union, simply complete a membership application and return it to the Credit Union in person or my mail. All new members are required to open a share account with a $6 deposit. Of the initial $6 deposit, a minimum of $5 must remain on deposit for as long as the individual wishes to be a member and $1 goes towards a one-time membership fee.
